In reference to the conversation of Jesus with the Samaritan woman at the Well in the Gospel of John chapter 4, in verse 13, Jesus said to the woman “Whosoever drink of this water, shall not thirst again…” Then in verses 23 and 24, Jesus said to the woman that “the hour comes and now is when the true Worshippers shall worship God in Spirit and in Truth: for the Father seek such to worship him” because “God is Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth.” Jesus is the Truth “the word that became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth” (John 1:14). Worshiping the Father in Spirit and in Truth is the main purpose of Spirit and Truth Worship Series. It is a time to separate ourselves from the busyness of our everyday life and take a moment to worship God through songs, without necessarily making any request from Him, but singing of His greatness and His marvelous works, most especially the sacrifice of His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ for the salvation of our souls. Yes, we worship Him with our lifestyles in words and deeds, through our works, our relationship, we also need to be the church that gathers to worship with our brothers and sisters in Christ to encourage one another “in Psalms, Hymns, and Spiritual songs, singing praises in our hearts to God” as Paul admonishes us in Colossians 3:16 and Ephesians 5:19.
Spirit & Truth Worship Series includes songs from my forthcoming album, familiar Hymns, Psalms, and Spiritual Songs as admonished us in Colossians 3:16 and Ephesians 5:19. I strongly hope that you are encouraged and blessed as you join us in the worship of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
